“Every now and then, a band jumps and out grabs you, demands your attention and you forget about the genre, or what the singer looks like, or how good the drummer is. You get swept along, taken in and are left exhilarated. This is FALLSTATE...Even at this early stage they could take any stage anywhere in the world and hold their own.”
ABOUT THE BAND:
Take one part high-energy pop punk, one part head-bangin' hardcore, season liberally with catchy, compelling vocals, a dash of party, and a love of cut-off band shirts and beer - that's the recipe for FALLSTATE, a band of young up-and-comers hailing from Auckland, New Zealand.
Formed in 2016, the band has quickly drawn attention thanks to their high-octane, fiery brand of pop-punk and their reputation for explosive live shows, with their music being described as "f*****g relentless" (Channel1) and "a momentous cacophony of harmonics and noise that gloriously spills its guts out without pretentiousness" (Muzic.net.nz).
No strangers to hard work, the band has toured extensively throughout New Zealand and Australia, playing alongside names such as Flirting With Disaster, Coridian, MISHAP, Purity, Silence The City, Dead Favours, and False Start. In 2016, they worked with renown producer Dave Rhodes on their debut single, 'Friends Don't Let Friends Drink Alone', which was subsequently included in their debut EP, simply titled 'Friends'.
2017 saw a new chapter for the band as they bade farewell to founding vocalist Tim Northover and welcomed to the fold Kurt Hughes (ex-Dead Teach the Living) with whom they have released two singles 'Live Forever Or Die Trying' and 'Epilogue' from their upcoming sophomore EP, which is being mixed by NZ punk legend Chazz Rabble.
